Localcoin

Localcoin is a Toronto-based company whose mission is to provide a simple buying & selling experience of digital currency for customers while upholding privacy standards across North America. Currently Canada’s largest Bitcoin ATM network with over 200+ cryptocurrency terminals across 6 provinces, and increasing with their expansion into the U.S market.
Brief
As the company was rapidly growing, Localcoin wanted a refreshed look to their branding to help them stand out from competitors while ensuring that they appeared as an approachable, trustworthy company to their consumers.
Goal
My goal as the brand strategist and designer for this project was to
• refine and clean up what Localcoin had already established as a company and to build upon that to elevate their overall branding
• develop an inviting, welcoming, and friendly brand to combat the intimidating impression some may have on cryptocurrency
The Rebrand
The refreshed logo is more refined, cleaner, and modern. Changing the typeface to one that is sans-serif, rounder, with equal weight distributed throughout each letter brings a more current feel to the overall branding. The typeface itself is neat and stylish which helps translate that feel to Localcoin’s overall branding.
